Introduction

The 2008 Audi A4 was unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show, where its sedan version made its debut. The Avant, which is the wagon version, was presented at the Geneva Auto Show in 2008. Audi is promoting it globally to compete with the counterparts produced by its archrivals, Mercedes-Benz and BMW. A cabriolet version of the Audi A4 is also available.

The four-door sedan looks smart and sleek, easily making a statement with its appearance. Designers have worked on the A4 to make it a roomier and practical car.

Outstanding Features of the Audi A4

• Stability and Drive - As a result of the front axle being moved forward, the car has better weight distribution on all four wheels. This causes improved stability in the A4. It also has a reduced front overhang, which gives the car a very nice stance.
• Interior Room and Comfort - The new version is longer than its predecessors. This provides better legroom for the rear seats. It also has an improved and roomier trunk with good cargo space. The Avant model, the A4’s station wagon version, has an overall increased volume.
• Power to Weight Ratio - Despite increasing the overall dimensions of the car, the engineers were still able to achieve an almost ten percent drop in the overall weight of the car.
• Instrumentation - The A4 has LED Daylight running lights. It is also equipped with light and rain sensors. A Multi Media Interface System (MMI) has been provided for the driver to exchange information and use all entertainment systems on board. An Electronic Parking Brake and Speed Sensitive Steering come as a part of the standard equipment.
• Add on Options - A vast array of resources is optional as add-ons. Some of these are Advanced Keyless Entry, Adaptive Cruise Control,a sunroof, and an advanced navigation system, just to name a few.
